Refraction - Middleware Replacement for mod_rewrite Jump to Story

Josh Susser wrote in to let us know about a new Rails plugin released by Pivotal Labs over the weekend, called Refraction. Refraction effectively replaces your web server's request manipulation library (like Apache's mod_rewrite) with a Rack-based solution. This allows you to be more platform agnostic and easily define your routing rules in Ruby and then store them along with your application in your SCM.
