Abhishek Parolkar has created a plugin called GeoMereLaal that allows you to create location-aware rails applications based on the W3C Geolocaton API. You just install the plugin, and then in any form that you want to auto populate with location information, you use a special set of form helpers with names like “street_field” or “city_field.”
